Organic Male v. Traditional Man do

30 Nov

So if we (two men) were super heroes I think the world would look at me as the villain and the regular hair styled fellow as the good guy. The problem with this analogy is that I am not evil nor a rebel but pressed against the world’s view I may fall somewhere in between. I would be a hybrid between the two traits which would make me  [pause]… different. Whereas the guy who conforms to the hair norms is safe, supposedly. His hair makes him so, right? Well, I disagree. Nothing says that or stays the same forever. I would be bold and say that their hair choices are not any different. Meaning, just because your hair is low, neat and well place it does make you any more marketable for the same job than I. This is especially so for men. My hair’s evolution is a carbon copy of who I am. We are evolving. We no longer just wear short safe hairstyles. We wear bold styles to further define our personalities. We are
professionals. We are all that subordinate styles were after the 70s afro. We are men with jobs that support our families. We are not super heroes (sadly) but real men who live by the drums in our heads with unique dos. Yes, we are men. And yes, we are organic.

Omg. I completely agree. I can’t stand when people ‘try’ to tell me that my natural texture is not professional enough. I refuse to conform.
